The top 3 things you should do in the event of a severe weather incident that could affect your services.
Sussex Resilience Forum, in conjunction with the emergency services and the NHS, have produce a leaflet listing 3 things the vulnerable and elderly should do to prepare themselves for a severe weather event.
You can’t control the weather but you can be prepared is the slogan and their top 3 things are:
- Join the priority services register – this gives free extra support if services are disrupted.
- Pack a ‘just in case bag’ – put essential items and medication in a handy place in case you need to leave.
- Know who you can call – make sure you have key numbers written down in an easy to reach place.
